Free Ukulele Lessons on Kaanapali Beach

If you play guitar, ukulele is surprisingly easy to learn. Much easier than a guitar. You can be playing songs in a hour.

Jason, owner of Lahaina Music, offers free Ukulele lessons in Kaanapali. I walked over to the Royal Lahaina Resort for my first lesson. Jason brings ukuleles from his store, so you don't need one to try it out. Here's Jason (left) with one of the other students; we're about 50' from the ocean.

I had a lot of fun learning Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Over the Rainbow, and Hotel California. I found other songs by Googling ukulele songs and chords. About nine chords will get you started.
